Hawaiian Building Maintenance has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We currently perform Janitorial Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC and Maintenance Services for numerous commercial, retail and residential properties on Oahu, Maui and Kauai. We are a major facility service company with excellent benefits including 401k plan with employer match, vacation, and competitive wages. Janitorial

  • Custodians Full-Time – Honolulu & Waikiki, OAHU
    We have full-time openings in Honolulu & Waikiki. Must have good customer service skills. Previous janitorial experience a plus. Experience with floor machines a plus.  Day Schedules: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.  Evening Schedule: 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm.  Overnight Schedule: 10:30 pm to 7:00 am.
  • Custodian Full-Time – Hawaii Kai, OAHU
    We have a full-time opening in Hawaii Kai cleaning a retail shopping center. Schedule: Sat/Sun 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Mon/Tues/Wed 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm.  Must have good customer service skills. Previous janitorial experience a plus.
  • Custodian Full-Time – Aiea, OAHU
    We have a full-time opening in Aiea cleaning a retail shopping center. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.  Must have good customer service skills. Previous janitorial experience a plus.
  • Custodial Supervisor Part-Time – Ewa Beach, OAHU
    We have a part-time supervisor opening in Ewa Beach cleaning a medical facility. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm.  Must have good customer service skills. Previous supervisory and janitorial experience a plus.
  • Custodian Part-Time – Aiea, OAHU
    We have a part-time opening in Aiea cleaning a retail shopping center. Schedule: Saturday/Sunday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.  Must have good customer service skills. Previous janitorial experience a plus.
  • Custodians Part-Time – Ward, Waianae, OAHU
    We are looking for part-time custodians to clean bank branches.  Schedule: Sunday through Thursday after 5 pm, various hours per week.  Employment will be based on individual clearing security checks which will include criminal record and credit history. Dependability is a must. Willing to train.
  • Custodians Part-Time – Downtown Honolulu, OAHU
    We are looking for part-time custodians for positions in Downtown Honolulu.
    Schedule 1: Sunday through Thursday, evenings.
    Schedule 2: Monday through Friday, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
  • Custodian/Utility Part-Time – Downtown Honolulu, OAHU
    We are looking for a part-time custodian with floor work experience.  Must have flexible weekend days and weekday evenings.
  • Custodians Full-Time – Lahaina & Kahului, MAUI
    We have full-time custodian openings in Lahaina and Kahului. Various schedules, must be able to work weekends. This will be for cleaning of a retail shopping center. Call 688-7567 on Maui for an interview.
  • Custodian Part-Time – Lahaina, MAUI

  • Custodian Full-Time – Lihue, KAUAI
    We have a full-time custodian opening in Lihue.  This will be for cleaning and maintenance of a retail shopping center. Call 295-1563 on Kauai for an interview. Schedule: Sun/Mon/Tue/Thurs, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm; Fri, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm (OFF Wed/Sat).

Engineering & Maintenance

  • Building Engineer – Honolulu, OAHU
    We are looking for building engineers with previous commercial, retail or high-rise residential experience. Previous experience in HVAC, building automation systems, electrical, etc. MS Word and Excel proficiency helpful.  Management and/or supervisory experience and good customer service preferred.
  • Maintenance Technicians – Honolulu, OAHU
    Immediate career opportunities available for experienced FULL-TIME building maintenance technicians interested in advancement.  Previous experience in HVAC, bldg automation systems, electrical, etc. Customer service aptitude preferred.
  • Maintenance Helpers – Honolulu, OAHU
    Immediate career opportunities available entry-level helpers with mechanical aptitude and good customer service skills.

HVAC

  • HVAC Technician – Honolulu, OAHU
    We are looking for a HVAC Tech with 5 yrs commercial experience.  Must be EPA Universal certified, able to troubleshoot & read basic wiring diagram.  Good communication and customer service skills a must.

Admin

  • Accounts Receivable Administrator Full-Time – Honolulu, OAHU
    We are looking for a full-time Accounts Receivable Administrator. Core duties will be billings, A/R follow-up, and cash receipts. Payroll, A/P, Journal entry & bank reconciliation experience a plus. Duties will also include maintaining company’s vehicle fleet and cell phone inventory. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines a must. Experience with SAGE100, ADP, MS Office, 10-key by touch, and good communication/organizational skills preferred. BA in Accounting or related field and/or equivalent work experience preferred. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.   • Accounts Payable Administrator Full-Time – Honolulu, OAHU
    We have an immediate opening for a full-time Accounts Payable Administrator to assist with A/P, billing, payroll, purchase orders, and journal entries. Experience with SAGE100, ADP, MS Office, 10-key by touch, and good communication/organizational skills preferred. Ability to multi-task in a high-volume office and meet deadlines a must. BA in Accounting or related field and/or equivalent work experience preferred. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.   • Administrative Assistant Full-Time – Honolulu, OAHU
    We have a full-time administrative assistant opening in Honolulu. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Position involves a lot of data entry and customer service. Must have excellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel and able to communicate effectively with customers in-person and via phone. Must be able to manage time, schedule multiple projects and prioritize duties well. Pay rate: $14/hr plus excellent benefits including fully paid single medical, 401k plan with employer match, vacation, parking & Aflac.
