Hawaiian Building Maintenance has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We currently perform Janitorial Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, HVAC and Maintenance Services for numerous commercial, retail and residential properties on Oahu, Maui and Kauai. We are a major facility service company with excellent benefits including 401k plan with employer match, vacation, and competitive wages. Janitorial

  • Janitorial Supervisor – Aina Haina, OAHU
    We have a full-time utility supervisor opening in Aina Haina at a retail shopping center. This is a working supervisor position.  Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Previous light maintenance experience, good communication helpful.
  • Janitorial Supervisor – Waikiki, OAHU
    We have a full-time janitorial supervisor opening in Waikiki at a retail shopping center. This is a working supervisor position.  Schedule: Monday through Friday, 10:30 pm to 7:00 am.  Previous heavy floor work experience, good communication helpful.
  • Custodians Full-Time – Honolulu & Waikiki, OAHU
    We have full-time openings in Honolulu & Waikiki. Must have good communication and customer service skills. Previous janitorial experience a plus. Experience with floor machines a plus.  Day Schedules: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.  Evening Schedule: 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm.  Overnight Schedule: 10:30 pm to 7:00 am.
  • Custodian/Utility Full-Time – Waikiki, OAHU
    We have a full-time opening in Waikiki to clean and maintain a retail shopping center. Schedule: Saturday through Wednesday, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.  Previous light maintenance experience helpful.
  • Custodial Floater Full-Time – Various areas, OAHU
    We have a full-time opening for custodial floaters.  Must have a flexible schedule and a valid driver license.  Previous janitorial experience helpful.
  • Custodian Part-Time – Maili & Nanakuli, OAHU
    We are looking for a part-time custodian to clean schools in Maili and Nanakuli.  Must be able to pass a background check and tuberculosis test. Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.
  • Custodians Part-Time – Downtown Honolulu, OAHU
    We are looking for part-time custodians for positions in Downtown Honolulu.
    Schedule 1: Sunday through Thursday, evenings.
    Schedule 2: Monday through Friday, 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
  • Custodian/Utility Part-Time – Downtown Honolulu, OAHU
    We are looking for a part-time custodian with floor work experience.  Must have flexible weekend days and weekday evenings.
  • Custodians Part-Time – Hickam and Kaneohe, OAHU
    We are looking for part-time custodians in Hickam and Kaneohe.  Schedule: Sunday through Thursday after 5 pm, various hours per week.  Employment will be based on individual clearing security checks which will include criminal record and credit history. Good communication skills and dependability is a must. Willing to train.

Engineering & Maintenance

  • Building Engineer – Honolulu, OAHU
    We are looking for building engineers with previous commercial, retail or high-rise residential experience. Previous experience in HVAC, building automation systems, electrical, etc. MS Word and Excel proficiency helpful.  Management and/or supervisory experience and good customer service preferred.
  • Maintenance Technicians & Helpers – Honolulu, OAHU
    Immediate career opportunities available for experienced FULL-TIME building maintenance technicians interested in advancement.  Previous experience in HVAC, bldg automation systems, electrical, etc. Customer service aptitude preferred.

HVAC

  • HVAC Technician – Honolulu, OAHU
    We are looking for a HVAC Tech with 5 yrs commercial experience.  Must be EPA Universal certified, able to troubleshoot & read basic wiring diagram.  Good communication and customer service skills a must.

Admin

  • Accounting Assistant – Honolulu, OAHU
    We are looking for a reliable, FULL-TIME Accounting Assistant with flexible work hours.  The ideal candidate will be capable of learning our system with minimal supervision.  Must have good communication, organizational and time management skills.  In addition to serving the Accounting Department, the applicant will also work with the operations department on occasion.  The Accounting Assistant will report to the Accounting Manager and work with the team to accomplish interdepartmental goals.  Experience with SAGE100, ADP, MS Office, 10-key by touch preferred.   Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines a must.  BA in Accounting or related field and/or equivalent work experience preferred.   • Administrative Assistant – Honolulu, OAHU
    We have a part-time administrative assistant opening in Honolulu. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to noon. Position involves a lot of data entry and customer service. Must have excellent computer skills including MS Word and Excel and able to communicate effectively with customers. Must be able to manage time and prioritize duties well.
